  1. YAH---VIDEO OF YOUR PLACE!!!! I love it!!!! Thanks for listening to your followers and finally posting! You got really lucky with your apartment....good thing they didn't make you and Charlie move! And Marisol- thanks for taking the video! I was cracking up during your commercial break. Marisol- is a video of your apartment hiding somewhere online?

  2. I love the apartment, Amy! What a great space! And thanks for showing it to us! I've always thought murphy beds were cool, too. You need to have a dance party just for an excuse to put it up.

  3. Hi there! I started following your blog after i saw it on the "Top 50" list. Thanks so much for posting this video of your apartment. I'm planning on moving to Korea to teach English in Dec 2011or Jan 2012. I was leaning towards Busan, but now that i've seen your apt...I think i might have to change my mind!!

  4. Hi Kristina! Everyone usually wants Seoul or Busan (I did too!) but truthfully the farther you go away from the two cities, it seems like the better your apartment will be. Seoul seems to be the capital of the dorm room apartments. As long as you get to a decent size city (1 million+) you'll be just fine. Korea is so small that Seoul, Busan, anywhere you want to go is an easy day trip with the train and all the major cities (Daejeon included) should have a pretty decent group of foreigners.

  5. That is good to hear that there are more choices then Seoul or Busan, I have no idea where to start looking. When I see the cities on the job listings they all start blending together!

Your blog is great! I look forward to reading more on your adventure :)

  6. Are you working with a recruiter or are you looking on your own? I just told my recruiter that I wanted a city of 1 million + and to work with middle school and she found me a GREAT school with an amazing apartment. If you aren't already using a recruiter, I highly recommend Lindsay at SayKimchiRecruiting.com

  7. Allison, I'm glad you liked the commercial break. :)~
I did make a video of my apartment when I first moved here, but it is set to private on youtube because I didn't want to show it to anyone other than my family and boyfriend back home.
